A Local Spotlight: Paws on Tap

There’s a new dog bar in the area, and I have to tell you about it!

Paws on Tap is a self-serve dog bar in Whitestown, and yes, that’s exactly as good as it sounds. Forty taps lining the beer walls, a fully stocked drink fridge, and a food menu with something for everyone, including the dogs. (Our team ran a very serious taste test on the treat sticks. Verdict: immediate 10/10, would beg again.)

Head outside and things get even better. A second beer wall, shuffleboard, bocce ball, wide open space, and a grassy patch on standby for when nature calls. It’s basically a beer garden that happens to also be a dog party.

But here’s what really makes Paws on Tap special: the little details. Leashes are color coded by comfort level, so the second you walk in, everyone can tell who’s here to make friends and who’d rather keep to themselves, no awkward sniff-and-guess required. Leash hooks are scattered throughout so your hands stay free for the important stuff, like holding your beer. And for dogs who need a little extra space, like ours, who happens to be blind, the layout, fresh water, and blankets mean every dog can find their own comfortable corner.

Paws on Tap also hosts Trivia Night every fourth Tuesday at 7pm (mark your calendar for July 28 and August 25), because apparently dogs make you smarter at trivia. We don’t make the rules.

Go. Bring your dog. You will not regret it.
